Upcoming Stuff

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

I met the nicest lady yesterday at a new restaurant in Mauldin. She is opening Jamaican Me Hungry at the Bi-Lo shopping center on W. Butler Road. Go out and try the food this weekend when it opens. She is so sweet and from my home state of New York!

I’m shooting Downtown Alive in Greenville tonight. Come on out and I’ll shoot your picture for Metromix!

We have booked our summer vacation to the Florida Keys! I am so excited! One last trip before baby Maggie arrives. My husband’s family has rented a beach house for a week over July 4. Should be fun!

Busy… Busy

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

I’ve had my parents in town this week from Florida which I really enjoyed. We bought the baby furniture for the nursery. I have lots going on the rest of this week!

I’ll be at another Drive baseball game tonight at Fluor Field. Catch me if you can and I’ll take your picture!

Saturday is International Gator Day where Gators across the nation come together to volunteer in their communities. The Upstate Gator Club is helping with Hoot N’ Holler for A Child’s Haven from 2:45 to 7:15! Should be a lot of fun and we have about 25 people already signed up.

Saturday night I’m shooting pics for the Greenville News at Easley’s Prom. Sunday I’m headed to Mt. Zion Presbyterian to sell my new book and then I’ll be at the downtown Greenville Greek Festival.

Busy… Busy!

Concert Photos

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

I went to a K-OS and Drake concert at Furman last night. Here is the link to the photos on Metromix.

Not sure if baby Maggie enjoyed the loud thumping of the bass while inside my tummy, but I’m sure she’s fine. She was moving around a lot yesterday kicking and punching. Thankfully, it doesn’t hurt. At least not right now!

More Upcoming Events

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

You can catch me downtown tonight at Main Street Fridays shooting photos! Come down to the Hyatt and maybe I’ll snap your picture for Metromix!

I’ll also be heading to prom on Saturday night. Yep. You read correctly. I’m going to prom again. Gosh, my last prom was 1994! I’m sure things have changed since then. The Greenville News asked me to help with some photos of Greenville High School’s prom at the Carolina First Center. Should be fun! They will be put online and some will be printed in the paper. Exciting!

Drive Game & Upcoming Features

Friday, April 16th, 2010

I headed out to the Greenville Drive game last night for Greenville Metromix. Take a look at the photos. Now I have access to the field for closer shots of the players, so I will be posting more of those as I attend the games. Pretty cool!

I’m also working on my Dish of the Month feature. In May I am featuring burgers. Yum! Went to Overlook Grill this afternoon to shoot pictures of their Overlook Burger and then I’ll be heading over to Mojo’s Famous Burgers in Simpsonville next week.

I also do First Look shots at new Upstate restaurants. I just took pictures of Papas and Beer Mexican Restaurant on Haywood Road. Sunday it’s a road trip to Anderson to sell my book at First Presbyterian of Anderson and then photos of a new restaurant called Bullfeathers.

Book Update

Sunday, April 11th, 2010

Just a reminder that you can purchase my book for a discount right now! Just click on the page to your right “Firm Foundations: A Tour of Upstate Presbyterian Churches.” There will be a link that takes you straight to the publisher’s website.

I visited Easley Presbyterian and Fort Hill Presbyterian this week. I really enjoyed meeting the congregations. Sold about 25 books all together. It’s really nice to be able to get out and visit with the churches that are featured in the book.

I have some good news! My husband and I visited Mast General’s corporate offices in North Carolina and showed them the book on Friday. They have agreed to buy some copies to have in their downtown Greenville store!! How exciting!

Thank you so much for your interest in my book!

Catch Me If You Can!

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Here’s a new series I’m starting. I am often at different events and restaurants in Greenville and other parts of the Upstate. See if you can catch me at these places. I’ll have my Nikon D90 with me and might just get some photos of you!

I’ll be at the Greenville Drive Home Opener game at Fluor Field Thursday April 8 at 7 p.m. taking photos for Metromix. If I snap a picture of you and your friends, they’ll appear on the Metromix website and maybe in Link magazine!

Hope to see you there. Stay tuned for my next assignment.
