Being a people person is important in a writing career and that’s exactly what Elizabeth Morrisey can offer. She can provide detailed news articles, feature stories and anything in between. Elizabeth’s been a journalist for as long as she can remember. In high school and college, she served as the editor-in-chief of two publications and enjoyed every minute of it, especially when those pesky deadlines appeared. That adrenalin rush just pumps her up.
Elizabeth has worked as a reporter at several newspapers and magazines, writing news, features and business articles and also shot photos for many of those publications. Along with Elizabeth’s work at newspapers and magazines, she has also worked in the non-profit sector, public relations and education – giving her a well-rounded perspective on life.
When it comes to photography, you might look at her funny because she would permanently have a camera strapped around her neck if she could. Elizabeth has had several photography courses and taken photos for newspapers, magazines and for pleasure. Everywhere she goes she sees beauty and loves to capture it for others to see.
Elizabeth resides in the Upstate of South Carolina, but grew up in central Florida. She has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) Elizabeth loves volunteering in the community and friends and family is a priority in her life. Her husband Kevin is a civil/environmental engineer and full of energy – sometimes it’s hard to keep up with him. They have a tiger living in the house….. okay….. he’s a cat named Agent Orange.
And one of the most exciting things… we are expecting our first child in August!
